一宮ロータリークラブ　バナーの由来

 

愛知県一宮市は、尾張の国の一の宮である真清田神社を中心に栄えた門前町である。
この由緒ある真清田神社には、鎌倉時代に順徳天皇（在位期間１２１０年～２１年）
が多数の舞楽面を奉納された。現在、その舞楽面が神宝として残っており、そのうち
陵王面をはじめ１２面が国の重要文化財に指定されている。
このバナーはその陵王面をデザインしたものである。またポールハリスが植樹した月
桂樹から数次に渡り株分けされたうちの一株を、一宮ロータリークラブが真清田神社
にて丹誠を込めて育てているので、ロータリーマークの下にあしらったものである。
尚、題字は一宮ＲＣ初代会長でありパストガバナーの安野譲次君によるものである。
Ichinomiya-city has prospered around the first most important Masumida shrine.
In the beginning of the Heian period, the first shrine in any region to be visited
by the provincial governor was called ichi-no-miya, which means ‘first shrine’.
The first shrine to be visited in the Owari Region was Masumida Shrine and the town
surrounding the shrine came to be called Ichinomiya.
During the Kamakura era, the Emperor Juntoku (1210～1221) dedicated a number of
court dance masks to this venerable Masumida Shrine. At present, these inherited
shrine treasures and twelve masks, including Ryooh, are designated by the government
as important national culture assets.
This banner is designed with the mask of Ryooh, which is the symbol of the Masumida
Shrine. Also, the laurel leafs designed under the Rotary Club’s logo represent
Ichinomiya Rotary Club’s continued effort to elaborately grow more laurels in the
Masumida shrine. These laurels have been divided several times from the one Mr. Paul
Harris planted.
The letter of Ichinomiya was written by Mr. Joji Yasuno, a past governor, the first
president of the Rotary Club of Ichinomiya.
